It is interesting the response that Peter gave the onlookers that gathered to mock as the Holy Ghost was poured out in Acts 2. He is so “matter of fact” in his statement that it throws you back, and makes you think, “I was supposed to know this!”
He said, “These men are not drunk, but this is THAT which was spoken of by the prophet Joel.”
“Oh THAT,” you can almost hear some in the crowd saying. Of course Peter, under the anointing of the Holy Ghost, turned the whole situation on its head. That same crowd became convicted and asked how they could have some of THAT.
Today their are those that still mock. Some will say the Holy Ghost is not being poured out today. The truth is, this IS that which was spoken by the prophet Joel, and Jesus, and Peter, and Paul, not to mention millions upon millions of people that have received the Holy Ghost in the exact same manner as they did 2000 years ago.
The great thing is you don’t have to wonder anymore what it is. You can obey Him today, and receive THAT. The Holy Ghost. God Bless!
